Open Question: How can I whiten my teeth?

You can get professional whitening for $130. I did that. I actually got my kit today. Ask your dentist about in-home whitening. Here's the pros and cons I have so far:

Pros:
-requires only 15 minutes a day for 2 weeks
-relatively easy to do yourself
-price is great compared to professional bleaching in the dentist office. (hundreds of dollars saved)

cons:
-this stuff frigging STINGS (it's 14% hydrogen peroxide gel)
-causes temporary tooth and gum sensitivity
-can cause temporary chemical burns (my gums literally turned white, but it went away within a half hour. my gums and teeth are still sensitive though)

I have yet to see the final result, as I still have 13 more days of this, but honestly, for the gum and tooth sensitivity/temporary burns, I would have to say there are probably better ways to whiten teeth. But this is definitely better than traditional whitening, which can cost a thousand dollars or some crazy number like that.
