Open Question: Should I get braces or surgery?

golden Member since:March 20, 2008Total points:136 (Level 1)I am currently 18 and I have been asking my parents to get my braces done since I was 13. I have a set of canines protruding in from the top layer of my top gums and the bottom layer of my bottom gums making me look like some sort of vampire, except with blunter teeth.. The doctors that I have checked with suggested extraction of the four protruding top and bottom canines and braces to fill the gaps. But I repeat I AM 18!!!! Braces are Gross (no offense) Where I live tooth extraction alone costs 5000 $.. And braces are separate. I will be shifting to canada for my braces / anything regarding my teeth. So the money won't be a problem. But should I get surgery done? Are there any side effects of doing that? Like I dunno my teeth falling out faster when I get abit older.. Or more cavity / gum disease etc. Thankyou for the reply in advance :)Answer Question
by mrs.beca Member since:November 02, 2009Total points:432 (Level 2)get the surgery. braces arent gross by the way you just gotta knoe how to take care of them. and braces are gonna be expensive because they realy work. u want good teeth? get braces. there are no side effects when they take out ur teeth.. trust me.. i had 4 out.
