Open Question: Need help from a dentist, please! I had cysts when I had my wisdom teeth removed, what does that mean?

Member since:January 22, 2008Total points:545 (Level 2)I'm 19 and this morning I had my wisdom teeth removed and they said they also removed two cysts from my where my lower wisdom teeth were. They proceeded to say they sent them to the lab to be tested and 99% of the time you're fine. And that's all they said. What does this mean? Where did they cysts come from and what happens the other 1% of the time.. is it like cancer or something? I'm not freaking out (yet), I'm just curious.
