Hi, I'm 15 in about 2 weeks and today I got my teeth whitening trays and gel from the dentist. Well I can't help but wonder if this is safe for me to use. I started today and it did cause some gum and teeth sensitivity.

Ever since I got my braces off my teeth have been kind of brownish-yellow, especially on the side teeth. I always felt embarrassed about the color of my teeth so I asked my dentist about whitening, and thus came the trays and gel. I just wanted to know is this stuff generally safe to use at my age? It's 14% hydrogen peroxide gel for 2 weeks.
