So, went to have a root canal done on a number 3 tooth, but the surgen did the wrong tooth, I ended having both done that day., Well he said that I needed to have them crowned, he said to do them together as the number 3 had a 6mm crack. I called an made an appointment, when I went in to have the crowns done he said that he didn't alot time to do both, I asked if he had read my chart stateing that the surgen wanted them done at the same time. He said he could put on temps an then send out for the permadents to be made, Well he put the temps on an about 5days later my gums still had'nt gone down. In fact they got so swollen that my roof an entire mouth hurt an got red an blew up I started to have tingling on the side that he did the crowns, and an awful smell in coming out of my mouth, I called an he said that he had never heard of this an it was probable was a sinus infection along with gingervitis after only a week an a half. But I knew better. When I went in he never took xtrays to see if the problem was the broken tooth. He smelt it too.He didn't seem to care much cuz then he put the perms on. It hasn't gotten better but worse, Now I have to have the New crown pulled an the tooth underneath, And the second opinion dentist said I should have a implant done. This is going to cost me tons. Not to mention that my brand new 1150.00 crown needs to be pulled out. I don't know what to do. I can't afford to pay for someone else mistake. I don't understand after the swelling was there when he put the temps on why would he not take xrays knowing that the tooth under had a crack, And then go ahead a crown with the perms? What can I do about this. I feel he is at fault an should pay for all the issues that this is going to cause me. The 2 opinion dentist said that he wouldn't have crowned it after seeing the swelling after the temps. The pocket space is so bad that I have to have it pulled asap so that It doesn't cause bone damage which he said might have already happened. I'll know more after having my crown pulled along with my tooth. I've only had these crowns for a month. Im so upset, I need some help in figuring out if he should pay for all my problems. Please anyone can you tell me what to do next?
