Okay, I am really starting to freak out,

Last night I was under the influence of certain substances (I don't need you to tell me that they are bad.)

While I was under the influence I sat on the couch for awhile, not exactly sure how long.
I randomly noticed that I had been chewing on my lip.
I tried to stop, but couldn't.

I noticed a rough slightly white spot on my bottom lip on the inside of my mouth.

I used to be a smoker but quit. I am sexually active, but always use protection. I think I drank out of someones cup who had mono once because we got them mixed up.

Is this be a sign of an STI or cancer or is it just from chewing my lip?

Should I wait a little bit and see if it goes away or should I go see someone soon. Do I need to see a doctor or my dentist? (My doctor is just a general healthcare provider)

And should I get an STI check before I go see my doctor?

Edit 1: It kind of hurts if I run my tongue on it rough or my teeth. It's not a bad pain, it's just there.

The spot is not dry, its moist like the rest of my mouth
