Root canals are not as painful as they used to be, since they no longer use silver stanks to fill the nerve cavity but a rubber-type mixture instead.

You will be completely anesthetized during the procedure and will not feel a thing. Afterwards, telly your doctor you want a painkiller like vicodin, but trust me, it will not hurt that bad afterwards.
