Open Question: Could a wisdom tooth coming in cause a tongue infection?

Home >All Categories > Health >Dental >Open Questionlex lex Member since:May 18, 2009Total points:30 (Level 1)I have a wisdom tooth that has poked through the gums for about a year. Ive been told that they need to be pulled but financially I haven't been able to do it. Is it possible that bacteria or something in or around the wisdom tooth could have led my tongue infection? I thought I had burnt my tongue because I had small bumps around my entire tongue but then it got worse instead of better and I have long white sores along the side of my tongue only on the side where the wisdom tooth has protruded from the gums. Could this be related?Answer Question
