Open Question: What is better, permanent or semi-permanent?

Member since:June 08, 2011Total points:97 (Level 1)My 12 year old daughter is done with braces and has two "peg teeth" which require veneers. The two options are semi-permanent laminate and permanent porcelain. I don't know if I should expect her teeth to move or grow in further therefore wasting the $1500 to get permanent veneers too early, and yet I don't want to spend $1000 to get something done that won't last more than a couple years. If I knew her teeth wouldn't move I would bite the bullet and get the permanent, but if the semi-permanent would last her ten years I would go that rout.
What is the better option? Who should I ask?Answer Question

Kaida by Kaida Member since:June 08, 2009Total points:167 (Level 1)i got my braces off at 16, and within a year my teeth had moved back to their original position. (my mom accidentally threw away my retainers and wouldn't buy me more) if she's anything like most teens, she won't wear them for the full required time anyway, so i would bet that they're going to move around and shift quite a bit in the next 6-8 years.
