I had surgery under General Anaesthesia 5 days ago. The pain has turned into the sort of pain you get with a toothache, and isn't going away after painkillers are taken (ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine). The pain is different from what it was like 2 or 3 days after the surgery. It's also starting to hurt my ear too.
There is also a bad taste in my mouth - sort of bitter and metallic.

Is there anything I should be worrying about, or is this normal?

I got it done by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. The type of pain has changed and become much worse. I'll try and check in with them tomorrow
