Instead of getting it wired, i'm getting bone shaved off from parts of my face to put the jaw in the right position. The doctors always tell me that I will be numb for a while, but I'm worried on how I will look? Like will a normal profile be back in time for the end of August when I go back to school? not sure if i should get the procedure or not.Answer Question

To be honest I don't see why you can't get it wired it sounds less scarier, but that is just my opinion, it probably has more cons. If you check on Google the before and after pictures of people that have done this jaw surgery you can see that they look much better than before, in my opinion the results speak for themselves!
