Open Question: Is it possible to have a tooth that something is wrong with it and it does not hurt?

For the past week or so it seems every time I take a drink of something and when it swishes around near the back right of my mouth, it makes whatever it is taste a bit salty. I was told maybe allergies but I feel fine unless it is very slight and I'm getting drainage to my throat and back of my mouth there.

But I also noticed chewing gum it seemed there is a bit of pressure from chewing, not painful at all but it feels different. I also flossed between the teeth in the area that feels odd and it felt strange.

Can I have a tooth that doesn't hurt but something is wrong with it? I have no insurance right now so not sure what to do.
