Member since:July 10, 2007Total points:411 (Level 2)They both do the same thing, so why not get Invisalign, since most dentists/orthodontists charge the same fee for either (very rarely do they charge more for Invisalign). If I had the option to get Invisalign back in 1994 when I got braces, I definitely would have chosen Invisalign. Remember, however, that there are limitations to the severity of malocclusion that Invisalign will treat, which is why your ortho/dentist knows best.

Invisalign is more expensive, takes more time, need more dedication from the patient and is more of a hassle. You have to pop it out to eat and drink anything except for water and then go brush and floss your teeth after and pop it in. They will not work if you do not wear them between 20-22 hours a day so you need to be sure to not keep them out. Braces are easier, take less time, and are cheaper.
