you'll go into hospital
they'll brief you on how long the proceedure will take and what will happen
you'll be put under for about 20 minutes whilst they take your tonsils out
then you'll wake up a bit later
you'll have a really sore throat for about 2 days
but after that it'll have no affect on your life apart from not having tonsilitis or other throat infections quite as often.
