Do you need to be put to sleep for a molar extraction?
I have a fractured molar (Tooth 30). The nerve is still alive and the tooth had a previous filling in it. When I went to the oral surgeon to have a counceltation I accidently said I wanted "General" anestetic instead of local. The surgeon said he thought it was a better idea with general. My question is, is this normal? The tooth isn't loose in anyway but it is fairly cracked.
I just don't want to face a lot of trumped up charges if it isn't normal to be put to sleep.
