I just got braces yesterday and my mouth has been hurting all day..when will it go away?

For me, It took about 3 weeks for the pain to go completely. And then, the same pain started all over when they tightened them in the fourth week. But after you've had them tightened a few times, you get used to it and don't even notice them.
If they are hurting the insides of your mouth, you can ask for some putty to stick on the metal and it stops chaffing and helps with the pain.

Remember no pain, no gain. So hang in there.
