I have a solid lump, rounded edges, about size of a gobstopper, way at the very top my upper gum (almost adjacent to my nostril It is so far up, that my own dentist and myself were not aware of it . It came to light when i attended an orthodontist and had an x ray for braces. Now that the location has been pointed out to me, i can feel it with my fingers. Despite the x ray being taken over year and half ago, it's only now that my orthdontist has revisited the old x ray and discovered that he "missed it" first time round. Shows up white on the x ray and is not painful

Doesn't appear to be connected to my brace treatment and the probability is that i have had it for a long time, as my own dentist has said he uses different type of x ray from the orthodontist and it does not show on his x rays.

Clinic that i was referred to do not know what it is and I am currently awaiting an appointment to go into dental hospital to have examination, but just wondered if anyone had similar
