Open Question: which bubble gum do i have less of a chance of getting caivtes bubble yum or bubblicous?
Hello
even chewing gum with sugar in is ok as once the sugar has gone out of the gum and you continue chewing you are making your saliva glands work and the saliva is what fights tooth decay and stops plaque attacking the teeth . Saliva is great stuff. Besides having enzymes that digest carbohydrates, it has antibodies that fight decay-causing bacteria, it contains buffers that neutralise the acids that eat at your teeth, and it contains minerals that help rebuild parts of your teeth that have been attacked by decay acid. This repair process by your saliva is a very important part of fighting tooth decay. So when you chew chewing gum and stimulate the flow of saliva, you have all these good things happening in your mouth.

Sugar free is better, but gum with sugar is still ok as long as you chew it long enough for your saliva to fight off the sugar in the gum. The sugar in the gum only lasts for a while so keep chewing after and you will be ok.
