Open Question: Can I brush my teeth back to white?
first of all stop eating foods that stain your teeth. Chocolate as you already know does stain and coke, coffee, tea, smoking, red wine and curries etc. Do not start brushing your teeth 4 times a day as you will damage them and your gums. You will end up brushing away your enamel and you may get gum recession with too much brushing. 2 times a day is good. You want to whiten your teeth without damaging them. You can get whitening tooth pastes but be careful as some can damage your teeth as they are very harsh.
Arm & Hammer Extra Whitening Brilliant Sparkle Toothpaste, £1.99/50ml (large supermarkets and chemists). Arm & Hammer is well known for using baking soda in its products. They say this can clean away unsightly plaque and reduce deep tooth stains better than ordinary toothpastes.
This particular paste claims to whiten and brighten teeth safely, using low abrasive granules or micro polishers. This tooth paste is safe as it does not wear away your teeth and removes stains. But it does not really whiten your teeth.
I myself would not use the tooth paste as they do not really make your teeth whiter. I would get my teeth whitened properly at my dentists. That way I know my teeth are not being damaged and the results will be good. There are other home remedies but they do not really work. For real results go and see your dentist. I have read people using things like lemon juice on their teeth which is insane as lemon juice is acidic and damages your tooth enamel.
So please be careful with what you use as many home whitening products are very abrasive on your teeth and cause damage. Make sure the product is approved by The Dental Association. If you cannot afford to get your teeth whitened at the dentists, maybe ask him what home product to use , which one has sensible results with being safe.
Hope that helps
