Braces on Tuesday!!!!! HELP!!?

Hey!! I'm 13 and I'm getting braces on Tuesday.. I'm Sortov nervous because i dnt want to look different or weird??? I'm
scared. I also have spacers in my mouth and they are KILLING ME!!
Do they hurt?
How long does it take?

,I'm 16 and I have braces, I had them put in when I was 15. I remember feeling like you, worried that people wouldn't like me lol. But nothing changes at all, some people dont even notice, especially boys. Just the people who are close to you will notice because they are used to you. But then they will get used to you with braces and when yo have them taken off, it will be weird for them. No, it doesn't hurt one bit having them put on, just don't lick your teeth in the process or you will taste glue lol. However, it aches a lot about 2 hours after! The pain is worse if you try and eat hard foods. I usually have cereal or sliced toast with lots of butter. The pain usually lasts around 3 days, but u will experience this pain everytime after your checkups.. as they tighten them. The pain is only because your teeth aren't used to it. Mine took around 15 minutes, not long at all. You can choose your own colours each time you go for check ups.. I started with purple, now I have pink, personally I think pink is the best, its less noticable. After if you think you hate your braces,trust me its normal and the feeling will go away after around a week, just think of the outcome..
